A full day’s exploring San Francisco on Saturday, a city I’ve always wanted to visit.
I wasn’t disappointed. It was absolutely fantastic.
Here’s a slice of what I experienced as I gear up for another day’s exploring.
I have another day in this glorious city, ahead of flying overnight from the west coast of America to the east coast on Monday night, to arrive in Boston around 5am in good time for England vs Ghana that afternoon.
I had intended to stay in Boston for a few days after the Three Lions’ clash on Tuesday before heading down to New York for England vs Panama on Saturday, but the lure of taking in Curacao vs Ivory Coast in Philadelphia on Thursday and visiting a new city, before heading to New Jersey and covering England’s final group game proved too much.
So my schedule is now (having already flown to Toronto, Seattle and Dallas) San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia then NYC/NJ. I just don’t want this month to end…it also means I can get the train from Philly to NJ for Friday night at the Stone Pony in honour of my idol Bruce Springsteen.
PPS: If anyone has any recommendations on somewhere cheap to stay near the Stone Pony next Friday and Saturday hit me up!
